CONCERT: PAT MCCURDY HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!
“Merry Christmahanukwanzaakah to you!”
Pat McCurdy is a Milwaukee-based singer-songwriter who specializes in sing-along comedy pop-rock music. Armed with a songbook of 600+ original tunes and an acoustic guitar, he relentlessly tours all over the region to entertain thousands each month. I personally attended his uproarious Chicago residencies most every week this past decade, where I had the privilege of hearing (and singing along to) his festival crowd-pleasers as well as his more scandalous, hilarious, poignant and, in many instances, just plain weird deep cuts. Without a doubt, he is by far my favorite thing to see in the Midwest.
Alas, Pat no longer does a weekly residency in the Windy City, and I have been on the road for work so often that I haven’t been able to attend a single one of his shows in 2014. (This saddens me deeply.) Thankfully, Pat will be performing his ever-popular Christmas show at the Beat Kitchen, where I first started attending his shows way, way back in February 2003(!). This holiday celebration is always lively in spirit and full of surprises, so I hope you might join us for the festivities.
Three cheers for Pat!
WHAT: CONCERT: PAT MCCURDY HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!
WHEN: MONDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2014 @ 8:00 p.m.
IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE ARRIVE SUPER-EARLY! Pat’s holiday shows tend to draw a big crowd, which means Beat Kitchen will likely be standing room only by 7:00 p.m. I plan on grabbing a seat and ordering dinner around 6:00 p.m. I can only save so many seats before we’re overrun, so get there early and we’ll make the most of it.
WHERE: BEAT KITCHEN – 2100 West Belmont Avenue @ Hoyne (Roscoe Village)
AND REMEMBER: IF YOU SIGN UP, SHOW UP!
